During the quarantine, I began taking longer walks and slower bike rides, noticing the beauty in nature and discarded things. I noticed my values and my community’s values start to shift.
I would never had predicted people would be buying all the beans and toilet paper off the shelves, but cheap gasoline and cruise vacations would be rejected.

This year Art Prize is awarding it’s prizes in a new way- through a treasure hunt that takes place throughout downtown Grand Rapids. Show your support by finding the pop up QR codes, scanning them on your phone and then type in “Covid Purse Diary” or “70633” to send your love! There are many pop ups through out the city, some QR codes award artists prizes and others send them words of encouragement. Both are very much appreciated!
